Watson McCray, age 95, passed away June 28, 2023, at his daughter's home in Concord North Carolina.

Mr. McCray was born in Whitesburg Kentucky on March 29, 1928. He was married on December 13, 1949, to the late Liza Bates McCray. He lived in many places but was a resident of Hamilton, Alabama for over 46 years. While in Hamilton he spent his life working, raising his kids, and tending to his farm. He was a devote Christian. He loved his family and telling stories of his life.

He was proceeded in death by his wife of 66 years Liza McCray.

He is survived by his children: Larry (Chris) McCray, Venida (Alan) Hyde, and Timothy (Kelly) McCray. He had 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation services will be held on July 6, 2023, at Marion County Funeral Home of Hamilton at 6pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 7, 2023, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Hamilton at 1pm with Israel Price and Timothy McCray officiating and interment at Hamilton Memory Gardens.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the many home health staff and hospice staff who cared for Watson over the last several years. Your service and compassion have not gone unnoticed or appreciated.
