TOMMY HAMMITTE

Tommy Hammitte, age 82 of Hamilton, AL passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Marion Regional Medical Center, Hamilton, AL. He was born in Bell Co., KY on Saturday, April 14, 1928 to Sherman and Bessie Hodge Hammitte.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 7, 2010 from 12-2:00 p.m. at the Marion County Funeral Home. The service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Marion County Funeral Home with burial in Love Joy Cemetery. Bro. Danny Duncan will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman & Bessie Hammitte; brothers, James, Arlie, J.B. & David Hammitte & sister, Geneva Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Betty Branscome Hammitte; children, Chris Hammitte, Michael Hammitte, Rebecca Hazelhurst & husband, Peter & Deborah Moon; grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew & Jason Moon, Eric & Emily Lankford; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Ken Hammitte & Elery Hammitte; sisters, Hazel Keck, Helen Ayers, Grace Lovell, Carolyn Ellis & Arizona Schmidt & a host of nieces & nephew.
Marion County Funeral Home assisted the family.
