Orval Wates

Orval Wates age 89 of Hamilton, AL passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Marion Co., AL on Sunday, July 9, 1922 to Alfred and Ellen Myers Wates.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 5, 2012, 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Marion County Funeral Home. The service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Marion County Funeral Home with burial in Hamilton Memory Gardens. Bro. H. B. Nelson will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Ellen Wates and sister, Jewel Croswell.
He leaves to cherish his memory, children, Barry Wates, Bryan Wates and wife, Lila, Melanie Vick and husband, Tim, Darrell Wates and wife, Carrie; sister, Lessie Thompson; brother, Bonnie Wates and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Marion County Funeral Home assisted the family.
