James Edward Prescott Sr., age 82, Hamilton, AL passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at NMMC in Tupelo MS. He was born in Brantley Alabama on Sunday, January 27, 1935 to Edlo and Lilly Ruth Prescott.
He entered the army December 28, 1956 and served his country for 23 years, retired as Senior Sgt.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, 2017, 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Marion County Funeral Home. The graveside service will be Monday, April 24, 2017 at Hamilton Memory Gardens with Pastor John Holiday officiating. Burial in Hamilton Memory Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 52 years, LaJuan Prescott; sons, Jimmy Prescott Jr., John P. Prescott (wife, Melissa), Thomas E. Prescott (wife, Kimberly); grandchildren, Megan Prescott, Makenzie Prescott; great-grandchildren, Rosie Scoot, Hazley Scott; siblings, Jack Prescott, Houston, Texas, Joan Whaley Summerville Georgia, Elaine Lamey (husband, Phil), Brantley Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
