Evelyn Gladys Rye Linker, 87 of Hamilton, AL passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Northwest Medical Center, Winfield, AL. She was born in Detroit, AL on Wednesday, April 25, 1923 to John G. and Millie Jeffreys Rye.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Marion County Funeral Home. The service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Marion County Funeral Home with burial in Cooper Cemetery. Bro. Edward Puckett will officiate.
She was preceded in death by 2 husbands; 2 grandsons; parents, John G. and Millie Rye; 6 brothers and 1 sister.
She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Paul Carter and wife, Linda, Polly Woods, John Thomas Carter and wife, Judy, Dennis W. Carter and wife, Jeanie; brothers, Marvin Rye and wife, Virginia, Sherman Olan Rye and wife, Joanne, Hershel Rye and wife, Gail; sisters, Eva Dell Williams and husband, Damer, Jimmie Lou Williams and a host of nieces and nephews.
Marion County Funeral Home assisted the family.
